Turn Everyday Shopping Into School Donations With the ABC Program
Our year-round ABC Program provides much-needed donations for the benefit of students in local schools, and you can help by simply using your debit card to make everyday purchases. The annual donation each participating school receives depends on how many customers choose a school, and the number of qualifying transactions they make. Simply stated, the more you use your debit card, the more money your favorite school receives.
Since 2001 the ABC Program has raised over $1.4 million for local schools and students, helping toward the purchase of laptops, supplies, books, software, new curriculum, and much more. We invite you to join us in continuing to make a difference.
Here’s how you can help us empower students to succeed and start earning cash for schools:
1. Use Your Debit Card
School-registered debit cards typically earn your school 2¢* year-round each time you complete a debit card transaction using the signature or credit payment option when making everyday purchases. Register your First National 1870 debit card using the link below. If you don’t already have a debit card, give us a call or visit a branch near you, and be sure to select your favorite school.
2. Rewards for Good Grades
Students K-12 can drop off their current report card October 1 - November 30, 2021 at any branch location to be entered into a drawing where they get paid for A’s. Five winners per branch are chosen, and the winning students earn up to $100** for their A’s. If their school is a participant in the program, they will also receive a matching donation from us!
3. Flash Sales
During the year the bank will host a series of limited time offers to increase overall school donations. For example, For example, we may double the debit card incentive to 4¢ during specified dates. Stay tuned for details!***

*School selected by customer must be a participant in the ABC Program to receive payment. The 2¢ donation offer is valid 9/1/2021-8/31/2022. Offers may be canceled without notice. Earned school payments will be paid on or before 9/30/2022. Signature-based debit card transactions (credit) using a participating school-registered debit card qualify for school donations. Recurring debit card payments, PIN-based debit card transactions, and ATM transactions are not qualifying debit card purchases and are excluded from payment eligibility.
