We have announced the public nomination period for our 2024 Community Partner Awards. The Community Partner Awards were created in 2023 to provide grants to outstanding organizations in Sunflower Bank, First National 1870, and Guardian Mortgage communities. From July 30 to August 23, 2024, the public has the opportunity to nominate local community partners in qualified counties of Arizona, Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Texas, and Washington for an award.

FirstSun Capital Bancorp, (Nasdaq: FSUN; “the Company” or “FirstSun”), the financial holding company for Sunflower Bank, N.A., today announced that FirstSun has received approval to list its common stock on the Nasdaq Global Select Market (“Nasdaq”) stock exchange. Trading on Nasdaq is expected to commence on Friday, July 12, 2024 under the Company’s current ticker symbol “FSUN”. Prior to listing on Nasdaq, the Company's shares traded on the OTCQX. Shareholders are not required to take any action as a result of the uplisting.

FirstSun Capital Bancorp (“FirstSun”) (OTCQX: FSUN) reported net income of $12.3 million for the first quarter of 2024 compared to net income of $26.3 million for the first quarter of 2023. Earnings per diluted share were $0.45 for the first quarter of 2024 compared to $1.03 for the first quarter of 2023. Earnings for the first quarter of 2024 were negatively impacted by $2.3 million of merger costs, net of tax, or $0.08 per diluted share and a $13.1 million loan charge-off, net of tax, or $0.47 per diluted share.

FirstSun Capital Bancorp (OTCQX: FSUN) reported net income of $24.0 million for the fourth quarter of 2023 compared to net income of $24.6 million for the fourth quarter of 2022. Earnings per diluted share were $0.94 for the fourth quarter of 2023 compared to $0.96 for the fourth quarter of 2022.

FirstSun Capital Bancorp (“FirstSun,” or the “Company”) (OTCQX: FSUN), the holding company of Dallas-based Sunflower Bank, N.A. (“Sunflower Bank”) and Seattle-based HomeStreet, Inc. (“HomeStreet”) (Nasdaq: HMST), the holding company of HomeStreet Bank (“HomeStreet Bank”) jointly announced today that they have entered into a definitive merger agreement, which was unanimously approved by the board of directors of both companies. Under the terms of the agreement, HomeStreet and HomeStreet Bank will merge with and into FirstSun and Sunflower Bank, respectively, with HomeStreet Bank continuing to operate under its tradename in its current markets.

In October 2023, we announced the creation of a new Community Partner Award program, led by our Community Affairs Office. The Community Partner Awards recognize outstanding individuals and organizations in Sunflower Bank and First National 1870 communities through seventeen grants of $3,000 to $15,000 that total $80,000. Award recipients have been named and we congratulate them for their important work and thank them for their impact on their respective communities.
