First National 1870 Annual Holiday Tree & Train Celebration Returns on December 5
December 05, 2022
Santa Fe, NM - We're excited to announce the return of our annual Holiday Tree & Train Display at our branch on the Santa Fe Plaza for the first time since 2019. The display was first set up over 70 years ago and is a beloved community tradition. Members of the Santa Fe Model Railroad Club will be running the familiar 0-scale 3 rail Lionel trains and will be available to answer any questions. The display features: a Polar Express model, a Hogwarts Express model (based on the Harry Potter series), a special holiday freight train, a Victorian village and a winter village with a skating rink. The event is free for everyone and will delight children of all ages. We hope you'll join us in this family-friendly holiday tradition.
“We are thrilled that Tree & Train display is back at First National 1870 year,” said Dolores F. Overton, First National 1870 Market President for Santa Fe and Los Alamos. “Visiting the Plaza at the holidays and coming to see the Tree & Train display has been a tradition for many families for years. The Santa Fe Model Railroad Club has always been a great partner and we thank them for making the event possible.”
